E-ISSN: 2640-2874 · Transparent breakdown of publication costs and author charges

Commitment to Transparency

Archives of Pathology and Clinical Research (APCR) is a Gold Open Access journal. All accepted articles are made freely available online immediately upon publication. To sustain the journal’s operations, Article Processing Charges (APCs) are levied. This Charges Policy explains what costs are covered, how charges are structured, and what authors can expect.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Our APCs reflect the costs of peer review, editorial work, digital preservation, indexing, platform maintenance, and long-term archiving. Charges are applied only after acceptance of a manuscript.

What the APC Covers

  • Editorial management, coordination, and peer review.
  • Copyediting, language support, and typesetting.
  • Assignment of DOI and registration with Crossref.
  • Inclusion in indexing services and repositories.
  • Long-term digital preservation and archiving.
  • Immediate worldwide open access under Creative Commons license.

Optional Services

  • Print copies: Authors may request bound copies at cost.
  • Fast-track review: Optional expedited peer review for urgent publications, with additional fee.
  • Language polishing: Available upon request for non-native English manuscripts.

Payment Process

Invoices are issued upon acceptance of the manuscript. Payment must be completed prior to publication. Payment methods include credit card, bank transfer, or institutional payment. Receipts are provided for all transactions.

Waivers and Discounts

APCR offers waivers or discounts for authors from low-income countries, students, or those lacking institutional funding. Waiver requests must be made during submission and are assessed fairly without affecting editorial decisions.

No Submission or Review Charges

There are no fees for submitting a manuscript or for peer review. Charges apply only if the manuscript is accepted for publication.
